Below is a list of Grooming Tips with the most recent ones listed first.
GREYHOUND
The Greyhound coat is short, smooth and firm in texture
HARRIER
The Harrier coat is short, dense, hard and glossy. Coat texture on the ears is finer than on the body. There is a brush of hair on the underside of the tail.
IBIZAN
There are two types of Ibizan coat; both untrimmed. Short-shortest on head and ears and longest at back of the thighs and under the tail. Wire-haired can be from one to three inches in length with a possible generous moustache.
IRISH WOLFHOUND
The Irish Wolfhound coat is rough and hard on body, legs and head; especially wiry and long over eyes and underjaw.
NORWEGIAN ELKHOUND
The Norwegian Elkhound coat is thick, hard, weather resisting and smooth lying; made up of soft, dense, woolly undercoat and coarse, straight covering hairs
OTTERHOUND
The coat is an essential feature of the Otterhound. Coat texture and quality are more important than the length.
PETIT BASSET GRIFFON VENDEEN
The PBGV coat is rough, long without exaggeration and harsh to the touch, with a thick shorter undercoat. It is never silky or woolly.
PHAROAH HOUND
The Pharoah Hound coat is short and glossy, ranging from fine and close to slightly harsh with no feathering. Accident blemishes should not be considered as faults.
Plott
Eager to please, loyal, intelligent, alert. Aggressive, bold, and fearless hunter
RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK
The Ridgeback’s coat should be short and dense, sleek and glossy in appearance but neither woolly nor silky.
